Do you ever look at your life and say, "I thought I would be in a different place by now? I thought I'd be __(fill in the blank)____." Well, 10, almost 11 years post-divorce, my life has gone through a lot of ups and downs, life changes, challenges, and experiences...I thought my life would look WAY different by now! ...Do you know what I wanted to be when I grew up? A wife and a stay-at-home mom. I didn't dream of owning my own company, or being rich and famous...But things don't always turn out as planned (I'm sure many of you can attest to that!)...And as life changes, dreams change too...
It brings me to this Bible verse, Proverbs 16:9 "A man’s mind plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps and makes them sure." So, as I look at my life today, it's time to stop "wishing". Like Joyce Meyer says, "You don't need wishbone, you need backbone"...
10 years from now I want to be able to say, "My life IS different. My life is exactly where I knew it could be!" ...If anyone else is feeling like me, don't give up on yourself...Even when others lose hope and faith in you, God doesn't! Even if it takes you longer than someone else to find healing in your life, NEVER lose hope, because one day it WILL happen! I've already experienced breakthroughs, but am believing for a few more breakthroughs that are just taking a little longer than I thought...
