As I was creating my new blog for my
It Works business on Blogger, I wanted to add a “Like us on Facebook” box. After doing
some online research, I was able to find out how. I’m always excited about
learning something new that will enhance my blog and create more traffic, and I
want to share it with you!
For
those of you looking to do the same, here are the steps:
Step
1: Log
onto your Facebook account.
Step
2:
In the html search bar, type (or copy and paste) http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/like-box/. This will bring you to a screen that says Facebook Developers. Like Box.
Step
3:
In the box under Facebook Page URL, delete https://www.facebook.com/FacebookDevelopers
and then copy and paste your website address from Facebook into the box.
Step
4:
In the height and width box, I entered 250 into both boxes.
Step
5:
I left the color scheme light, but you can switch to dark if you prefer.
Step
6:
I unchecked the show stream box because I do not want to have that on my page.
Step
7:
Click on the “GET CODE” box.
Step 8: Click on IFRAME. Highlight and copy the code in the box.
Step
9: Go
back into Blogger and select layout. Select add a gadget.
Step
10:
Select add a gadget. Select add HTML/Java Script.
Step
11:
Enter and paste your code into the content box. You can add a title if you want
to, I did not. Click on the save button.
Step
12:
View your blog. If you are happy with the position of your new box, select save
arrangement and you are good to go!
